Should You Use Root Motion?

In this video I look at what Root Motion is, how it works, and whether or not you should consider using it for your game. I also demonstrate how i've set up my own rig to animate for Root Motion in Blender, as this is something I have found very little information on online and thought others might find it helpful. If you want to find out more about scripting and implementing Root Motion to your game, John Mac has done a brilliant tutorial series, using 'The Legend of Zelda Wind Waker' game as a reference, here that I used when first learning about Root Motion: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b0PvJ4AWvWQ&list=PLKFvhfT4QOqlEReJ2lSZJk_APVq5sxZ-x

Tutorial - Basic Player(Unity)#4(Final): Thoughts For Fine Tuning

This is the final video of this 4 video series, going over the setup of a basic animated character using a rigidbody in unity. This video is just me going over the extra scenes in the downloadable project and going over some design decisions I think are worth thinking about when deciding how to design you player characters movement for your game. To those of you that have watched this series, thank you and I hope you found it helpful, hopefully I will be able to do more of these in the future as I continue to develop. Feel free to download the full finished project, which includes all example scenes shown in this series. Test out the different kind of players and movement and look through the code to see how it was done.
